Polly Steele has an eye for the truth.

She is an award winning film-maker currently based in the UK.

Her nomadic upbringing - London-Turkey-Kenya-Fiji-France has nurtured an ability to be on the outside looking in - an acute observer.

A hippy at heart, the first seeds of film making were sown whilst watching Hair aged 13 - it was political, impactful and romantic, nothing has changed - she is still driven to tell stories that open our hearts, inspire change and speak the truth.

She believes we need to see the world through different lenses - creating a more diverse and relevant cinematic landscape.

She has written, directed and produced numerous award winning films and television productions. Early on in her career Steele worked on the influential BAFTA award winning documentary series, Video Diaries at the BBC, helping to form her style early on, and she has continued to be a rule breaker.

She presently has an extensive slate of scripts in development, but is always happy to talk.

She currently lives in Sussex but half her heart resides somewhere in the South of France.
